person in america. there's been talk for a number of days out of california that dorner may have fled the country for mexico and authorities didn't know exactly where he was. the former member of the navy dorner is the believed to have killed -- dorner is believed to have kill 4 people including the daughter of a l.a. police offer her fiancee and two other officers. police will alerted to his possible whereabouts after reports of a stolen truck. he holed himself into a cabin and after a shootout with deputies that killed one and injured another, a stand offfollowed. hours after police tried to get hem to surrender they reported a single gunshot from inside the cabin as it began to burn. >> it's painful for every person associated with the law enforcement family across southern california. they have been working together closely on this search for the last 6 days. >> this has been a involved story for the past week. so many different

jurisdictionss involved and there were conflicting -- jurisdictions involved and there were conflicting reports if the body was in the cabin. the associated press has learned that a body was found in the rubble. dorner's anger with the police department dates back five years when he was fired for filing a false police report accusing his training officer of kicking a mentally ill suspect and he claims firing was the result of racism and he would get even with those who wronged him. >> thanks. today family and friends will say good-bye to the riverside police officer believed to have been murdered by christopher dorner. officer michael crain was killed while on duty. more than 7,000 people are expected to attend the funeral service including the california governor. dorner is charged with his murder. we have breaking news to tell you about an update. more about that police officer trainee who was shot in the head. this happened during a training

exercise. abc2 news linda so is live at shock trauma. do we know how he is doing this morning? worse we are -- >> reporter: we are told he is in grave condition. he he underwend srnlry last night after being shot in the -- surgery last night after being shot in the forehead. still a lot of unanswered questions and because of that the police commissioner suspended all training because of safety reasons. the officer trainee was shot by a baltimore city police instructor during a training exercise in owings mills yesterday afternoon. during a press conference last night, the commissioner would not say why live rounds were being used during the session. the injured officer works for the university of maryland as campus police officer. he is in his 40s and this was his first police job which he only started back in july. the chief surgeon at shock trauma says the officer is in very grave condition. >> for me, it's unacceptable. we will take the time to dig to fiend out to make this better so we -- find out to make this

better so we don't have this happen again. >> reporter: the family is asking the name of the officer not be releasedch the maryland state police is investigating. live at shock trauma, lenda so, abc -- linda so, abc2 news. an update to a news story you heard first here. two students dead and one injured. >> we are learning more about the man who killed both roommates and hurt another before killing himself. day von green -- dayvon green was getting a graduate degree in engineering from the university of maryland. around 1 last night, police say that green started to fire in his basement of the home forcing everyone inside to go out. now according to police, once they were out of the house, green shot both of his roommates before turning the gun on himself. green's family says he had a history of mental illness but those at morgan state who went to school with him never saw it coming. >> he didn't seem like the person that would hurt people. i wasn't aggressive. he didn't have problems with

rage. >> police say the 9 millimeter handgun used in the killing was purchased legally in baltimore county. authorities say they found a bag of weapons which included a loaded semi-automatic hand gum ammunition baseball bat anmachete. the atf is trying to term how the weapons were bought. one student was killed and another is still in the hospital this morning. a student at the university of maryland is shocked after what happened on the campus. last night, about 100 people attended a vigil for the victims. many of those in attendance were friends of stephen rane the 22-year-old killed e was a english major at college park. his mom and stepfather work at the university. police are not releing the name of the other room -- releasing the name of the other roommate who was injured but he is expected to survive. her job is to look after students but instead she
